True friends watch out for one another and protect each other in difficult situations. Four childhood friends — Lee Joon Suk (Kim Min Joon), Han Dong Soo (Hyun Bin), Jung Sang Taek (Suh Do Young) and Lee Shi Un (Kim Joong Ho) — were inseparable while growing up and helped each other out of the petty scrapes and skirmishes as teenage delinquents in Pusan. But their delinquencies take a much more dangerous form in adulthood. Joon Suk and Dong Soo have grown up to become leaders of rival gangs, while Sang Taek and Joong Ho have pursued a life of crime. As their lives intersect as adults, they must each decide where their childhood loyalties end and their current ambitions begin. “Friend, Our Legend” is a 2009 South Korean drama series directed by Kwak Kyung Taek. It is the television adaptation of Kwak Kyung Taek’s 2001 hit film “Friend,” and was followed by the sequel film “Friend, The Great Legacy” in 2013.
